Fadi leads the Data science efforts at Open Insights, focused on leveraging open source technologies to deliver practical solutions with cutting edge performance. Fadi specializes in developing and maintaining distributed state-of-the-art machine learning solutions at enterprise scale.

Fadi has 5 years of experience designing algorithms in areas of natural language processing, content personalization, real-time recommendation engines and computer vision. Over those years, Fadi recruited, trained and led tens of Data scientists focused on delivering incremental learning models and advanced analytical platforms.

Fadi led the initiative of building and delivering Analytics, Visualization and Data Science courses at a leading regional bank. He also piloted the development of an incremental sequence-aware hybrid recommendation engine that delivers real-time content personalization for a high-traffic E-Commerce website. He developed an advanced character recognition solution that tackles glare and visual irregularities using deep learning.

Fadi wrote his first program when he was 13 years old and has been hooked ever since. He also enjoys long hackathons, playing squash and traveling in his free time. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Manchester.
